Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has received an invitation to visit
the United Kingdom.
This
will be Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s first visit to the UK since the murder of
journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul in 2018.
According
to Secretary 10 Downing Street, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has not yet
met Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
According
to media reports, this year Energy Secretary Grant Shapps talked to Saudi
authorities about cooperation in various fields.
It
should be remembered that the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi was strongly
condemned by Western countries.
Top Defense Officials of Saudi Arabia
and Iran Meet
According
to foreign media, top defense officials of the two countries met on the
sidelines of a security conference held in Russia yesterday.
According
to the Saudi Defense Ministry, Talal al-Atibi, assistant to the Defense
Minister, met with Aziz Nasirzadeh, deputy chief of staff of Iran’s armed
forces, on the sidelines of the 11th Moscow Conference on International
Security.
According
to reports, this meeting is being described as a new development after the
restoration of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Relations
between Iran and Saudi Arabia were restored in March after seven years.
